“NL what?”
“That’s Neuro Linguistic Programming to you and I”.
Rather an ominous name which might well invoke feelings of brainwashing, manipulation or conditioning. Many NLP Practitioners out there veil NLP in a sense of mystery and secrecy which, in my opinion, can feed resistance and lead to anxiety. However, the truth is really not at all scary.
NLP has been around for a while and is gaining popularity. It originates from extensive and detailed studies of people who are renowned communicators. NLP centres around using language effectively and getting results through being open and flexible.
“There … not scary at all!”
Ask yourself this: How do you think? What do you feel? How do you represent the world in your minds? Why do you behave in the way you do? Where do those habits and patterns come from?
If you stop for a few moments and try to answer these questions, you’re already on your NLP journey.
Shaun says: ” NLP provides the right tools to become aware of the things you do unconsciously. It allows you to choose the way forward, and to communicate in a meaningful way. It brings your performance at work, sport or anything else up to a new level.”
